Ember & Oath
RPG

Ember & Oath

★★★★★ 4.7

Ember & Oath is the kind of mobile RPG that respects your time without dumbing anything down. You lead a small band of misfits across a fractured kingdom, and the turn-based combat rewards planning far more than raw grinding. Each character has a niche, and switching your line-up to counter an enemy pattern feels genuinely tactical.

  • Meaningful, well-written choices
  • Tactical turn-based combat
  • Gorgeous hand-drawn world

Questions & answers

How do you choose which games to review?

Mostly it's a mix of reader suggestions and things we stumble on ourselves while browsing the stores. We don't stick to one genre — if a game looks interesting or someone can't stop playing it, that's enough reason to take a proper look.

Do studios pay you for reviews?

No. Nobody pays us to write a review or to nudge a score higher. If that ever changed we'd say so clearly at the top of the article, but it hasn't and we'd rather keep it that way.

Can I suggest a game?

Please do. Drop us an email with the name of the game and why you like it. We can't cover everything, but we read every suggestion — Casinacho Games is one example of a title we tried after it kept coming up.

Is there advertising on the site?

We may run a small amount of unobtrusive advertising to help cover hosting costs. Ads never influence our opinions or scores, and we keep them separate from the actual review content.
