About

Pocket Verdict started as a group chat where four friends argued about which games were actually fun and which just looked good in the store screenshots. At some point the arguments got long enough to write down, and here we are.

Everything you read here comes from real hands-on time. We don't summarise press releases or copy other people's opinions — someone on the team installs the game, plays it properly for at least a few days, and then writes about what it's actually like.

We pick games in two ways. Sometimes readers tell us about something they can't stop playing. Other times one of us stumbles on a title in the charts or a niche corner of the store and figures it's worth a proper look. Genre doesn't matter — a tiny puzzle app gets the same attention as a sprawling RPG.

We're not tied to any studio or publisher. If a game is slow, greedy with your attention, or just boring, we say so. And if a small game punches way above its weight, we're happy to shout about it.

Lukas Brandt — Lukas has been playing games on whatever screen he could find since the days of monochrome handhelds. He runs the reviews and keeps the team honest about deadlines.
