Ember & Oath

Ember & Oath is the kind of mobile RPG that respects your time without dumbing anything down. You lead a small band of misfits across a fractured kingdom, and the turn-based combat rewards planning far more than raw grinding. Each character has a niche, and switching your line-up to counter an enemy pattern feels genuinely tactical.

The writing surprised us. Side characters have their own agendas, and choices in dialogue actually nudge the story. The art is hand-drawn and warm, and it runs smoothly even on older phones.

It asks for patience early on, but push through the first couple of hours and it opens up beautifully. This is one to play in longer sittings, not stolen minutes.
